Satire policy

• Pieces marked SATIRE are fiction. They are labelled on the page, in structured data (schema.org SatiricalArticle), in RSS and in share images.
• Commentary pieces are real news with humour, and always cite their sources.
• We never invent quotes from real private individuals.
• We do not make jokes about victims of tragedies, disasters or violence.
• We do not use fake "BREAKING" formats for satire.
• If a satire piece is mistaken for real news, we add a clearer note. Tell us via the contact page.
